4 narco smugglers nabbed with heroin



JAMMU/UDHAMPUR: Police on Sunday nabbed four nacro-smugglers and recovered 22.5 gm of heroin from his possession.
As per details, a party of Police Post Sarwal led by In-Charge Police Post Sarwal SI Yougal Sudan while on Naka duty at Bhagat Singh Chowk, rounded-up a suspect namely Vishal Sharma alias Vishu, son of Ram Prakash Sharma, resident of Shakti Nagar Jammu, on a bullet motorcycle (JK02BL 6721) coming from Bakshi Nagar. On search, 15 gm of heroin was recovered from his possession. He was arrested and a case vide FIR No 39 /2021 under Sections 8, 21 & 22 of NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Bakshi Nagar.
Meanwhile, a team of Police Station Udhampur led by SHO Insp Chanchal Singh under supervision of Sahil Mahajan DySP Hqrs Udhampur, while patrolling near Thard area, caught three suspects, who tried to hide themselves from police.
During search, 7.5 gm of heroin like substance along with cash amounting to Rs 12,000 and an Electronic weighing machine was recovered from narcotic smuggler namely Hamid Ali, son of Chattu, resident of Bali, Thard; Mohd Younis, son of Chattu, resident of Bali, Thard and Mohd Tariq, son of Fateh Ali, resident of Mansar. The trio was arrested and a case vide FIR NO. 90/2021 under Sections 8, 21, 22, 27A & 29 of NDPS Act was registered against them at Police Station Udhampur.
