4 killed, 15 injured in separate mishaps

JAMMU: Four persons were killed while 15 others got injured in separate mishaps here in Jammu region on Monday
As per details, a Tata Sumo (JK12B-1646) on way from Sawjian to Mandi skidded off the road near Sundri Nallah at around 1110 hours and fell down in a gorge about 10-15 ft deep, resulting in injuries to nine persons, who were later shifted to PHC Sawjian. The injured were identified as Farooq Ahmed (26), Najama Begum (24), Majida Begum (50), Amir Ali (26), Akash Ahmed (30), Shakeel Ahmed (30), Jahangir Ahmed (25), Farida Begum (32) and Saleema Begum (35), all resident of Sawjian. The condition of all injured is stable but one, Najama Begum was referred to CHC Mandi for advanced treatment.
Meanwhile, a car, which was on its way to Gurmul from Doda, fell into a gorge as a result of which its driver got killed on the spot while 4 others got injured. The deceased was identified as Abdul Wahid while her wife Naseema Begum; daughter Ayat Bano; sons Tahid Ahmed and Wasim Raja, who got injured were shifted to Doda Hospital for treatment.
A truck hit a bike in Supwal area as a result of which two bike-borne persons got injured. They were shifted to hospital where doctors declared one of them as brought dead. The deceased has been identified as Raghubir SIngh, son of Sharan Singh, resident of Chak Ram Chand while his son Dilbag Singh is under treatment. In another mishap, a tanker fell into a gorge in Bari Brahmana area as a result helper of which the driver namely Natha Ram, resident of Arnia, presently staying at Telli Basti died on the spot. In Reasi, a Tata Mobile fell into a gorge near Shadol area, due to which the driver died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Joginder Singh, son of Punjab Singh, resident of Bagankote, Tehsil Chassana, Reasi.
