SRINAGAR: Acting tough against social crimes, Srinagar Police has arrested 4 gamblers from a gambling site and seized stake money.
As per details, a party from Police Station Shergarhi raided a gambling site, following an input about gambling activities, and apprehended 4 gamblers, who were identified as Zubair Ahmad Bhat resident of Allochibagh Khadimill Srinagar, Hamid Jan resident of Beigh Mohalla Allochibagh, Wahid Rafiq Sheikh resident of Shallpora Allochibagh and Mohsin Bashir Hajam resident of Allochibagh Srinagar.
Officers have also seized playing cards and stake money amounting to Rs 7,320 from their possession. All the gamblers were arrested and shifted to Police Station Shergarhi, where they remained under custody. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 76/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Shergarhi and investigation has been initiated.
