38 clerks transferred in GMC Jammu without consulting HoDs ex

JAMMU: Resentment is brewing up among the Heads of Departments (HoDs) of various disciplines in the Government Medical College (GMC) as the administration has transferred 38 clerks working in various faculties without consulting them.

All these staffers are promtees from class-IV rank. As only two of them have passed the type cum departmental tests so only a few of them only know their jobs well. With 38 staffers having been posted to different departments, HoDs and other faculty members are irked as it will hamper their official work.
“To work with untrained staffers will waste our lot of time”, said faculty members, adding that it will be very difficult to carry out official work without the trained staff.
“Those who don’t know how to type are just a liability for the departments”, told a faculty member to Principal, GMC, who has promoted even those who are unable to handle clerical work. The HODs have warmed the Principal GMC to revoke the order in the interest of the hospital administration.
