JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday reported 244 new positive cases of novel Corona virus — 107 from Jammu division and 137 from Kashmir division— taking the total number of positive cases in the Union Territory to 1,21,471.
Officials said that one more COVID related death was reported in the Kashmir Valley.
Moreover, 260 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 123 from Jammu Division and 137 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 1,21,471 positive cases, 2,999 are Active Positive, 1,16,587 have recovered and 1,885 have died; 698 in Jammu division and 1,187 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 38,85,403 test results available, 37,63,932 samples have been tested as negative till 2nd January, 2021.
Till date 8,92,506 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 14,332persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 2,999 in isolation and 30,831 in home surveillance. Besides, 8,42,459 persons have completed their surveillance period.
