NOWSHERA: According to Social Welfare Officer Nowshera, Kabir Khan as many as 1,940 cases pertaining to different categories of people belonging to Sub District Nowshera were processed and sent to District Social Welfare Officer Rajouri and would soon be approved for grant of pension. Vice President, All Jammu and Kashmir Handicapped Welfare Association District Rajouri, Vinod Sharma met Social Welfare Officer Nowshera, Kabir Hussain and highlighted that a large number of pension cases related to handicapped persons, widows and old-aged have been submitted in his office but no pension has been granted till date due to which beneficiaries are facing huge financial crises.Social Welfare Officers gave a patient hearing to Vinod Sharma and said that he has already sent 1,660 cases of old-aged, 150 files differently-abled and 130 of widows to the District Social Welfare Officer Rajouri, which he hoped would be made through soon and accordingly pensions would be released. He further said that it was his fundamental responsibility and he is always available to ensure that such people get all necessary facilities available under rules.
