SAMBA: Police on Saturday night foiled a bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 17 bovines and arrested the trucker who was carrying them in their vehicle.As per the details, In-charge of the Ghagwal Police, Kuldeep Raj and his team with the help of highway patrolling intercepted the truck (PB07AS 4469) at Mansar Morh after they received an information regarding smuggling of bovines . During checking of the vehicle, 17 bovines were found laden in it which were rescued. The driver of the vehicle identified as Ashok Kumar, son Gian Chand, resident Mukerian Punjab was arrested and a case under section 188 IPC Act was registered against him.
