KATHUA: Police on Sunday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 13 bovines and arrested two smugglers.
As per details, a team from Police Post Ramkot during Naka checking intercepted a truck (PB02AV-8588) which was driven by one Sandeep Singh, son of Kashmir Singh, resident of Bohewal Tehsil Baba Bakala District Amritsar (Punjab). He was accompanied by Harpreet Singh alias Happy, son of Kashmir Singh, resident of Rusulpur Kalan Tehsil Amritsar. On checking of vehicle, 13 bovines were found laden in the vehicle without any legal permission. All the bovines were rescued on the spot. The duo was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 146/2020 under Section 188 of IPC & 11 of PCA Act was registered against them at concerned Police Station.
